On January 17th at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston, we heard from Ani Ajemian from Rockhill Management and Mike Morris from CanaDev discuss the food hall that will be opening up in Boston’s Finacial District called High Street Place. Located at 160 Federal and 100 High, a 19,000 square foot food hall will open in late summer 2019 with approximately 20 unique food and beverage vendors that will transform the area around the property.
CanaDev, led by Mike MOrris, focuses on mixed use, food halls and operations. One of their recent projects was District Detroit. Ani Ajemian, legal counsel for Rockhill Management, an affiliate of Rockpoint Group, acquires strong assets throughout the US and create and renovate properties that become unique to the market.
High Street Place will have a calendar of events, be open on the weekends, and will have a liquor license. This food hall will have a sense of discovery, a sense of place, and caters to all demographics.
With Gensler as the architect, some architectural features were the living wall, elevation changes, aesthetic seating and preservering the wall on the 160 Federal side. There will also be an area that will have an indoor/outdoor space perfect for warmer weather. Acentech also helped with mitigating sound so that tenants would not have issues.
We thank Ani and Mike for taking the time to discuss a great opportunity that will invigorate downtown Boston.
