CREW Boston members and members of the Community Involvement Committee mingled at a private wine tasting at The Wine Bottega in the North End. The event was to benefit CREW Boston's designated charity organization, Elizabeth Stone House.
Surrounded by true, natural wines from Italy and France, the owner, Kerri Platt, went over 5 wines from Italy and described the vineyards, grapes and process. We also tasted select meats and cheeses from a local North End market.
The Wine Bottega was generous to waive the tasting fee and have our ticket proceeds go to the Elizabeth Stone House. Plus, any bottles bought that evening, 10% of the sales would also go to the Elizabeth Stone House. We also gave away a couple of Half-N-The-Bag wine coolers also donated by creator, Carmen Beaton.
Thanks to those who were able to join the sold-out event and special thanks to Half-N-The-Bag and The Wine Bottega.
