On Wednesday, April 29, CREW Boston’s CREW Network Committee hosted members at Holland & Knight LLP for a group viewing of CREW Network’s webinar, “From Observer to Investor: Start Personally Investing in Commercial Real Estate.”

The afternoon began with networking, followed by a powerful panel discussion focused on breaking down barriers and empowering women to take an active role in commercial real estate investing. The session challenged a familiar dynamic—many professionals in the room have supported clients in building wealth through real estate yet hesitate to take that step personally.

The webinar highlighted both the opportunity and the urgency. While women currently control more than $10 trillion in personal wealth—a figure projected to grow significantly by 2030—many still self-identify as beginner investors. Panelists emphasized that this gap is not about capability, but access, confidence, and representation in the investment space.

Led by Beth Azor and featuring industry experts Traci Miller and Lauren Rothlisberger, the discussion provided practical insights, real-world success stories, and actionable steps to help attendees begin their own investing journeys with confidence.

Following the program, members continued conversations and connections, with many taking advantage of Holland & Knight’s generous space to work and network ahead of the evening’s Achievement Awards.
