On Monday, December 15, CREW Boston’s Women of Color Committee hosted “Season of Bloom: A Holiday Evening at Boston Flower Co,” a festive and creative gathering to celebrate the season and connect in community. Members and guests came together for an evening of bouquet-making, meaningful conversation, and holiday cheer at the beautiful Boston Flower Co studio.
Attendees had the opportunity to create their own floral arrangements alongside Yanique, owner of Boston Flower Co, who shared her inspiring entrepreneurial journey. Drawing on her Jamaican roots, background in creative marketing, and passion for collaboration, Yanique spoke about building and scaling her business while intentionally creating space for other local businesses to grow alongside her.
The evening also included time to mingle, enjoy light refreshments, and take advantage of optional professional headshots—making it both a fun and practical way to close out the year. With creativity, connection, and celebration at the heart of the event, “Season of Bloom: was a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season together.
A heartfelt thanks to Yanique Shaw for hosting us at her beautiful flower shop and to Grace Vaillancourt for the headshots and event photos!
