CREW Boston

UCREW at Northeastern University

In March, CREW Boston and the CREW Boston Educational Foundation hosted a UCREW Networking 101 Lunch and Learn, bringing together members of CREW Boston and students from Chi Epsilon, a collegiate civil engineering honor society, with members from both the Northeastern and MIT chapters in attendance.

Moderated by Kinga Lewandowska, a senior at Northeastern University, a CREW Boston student member, and a recipient of both the CREW Network and CREW Boston scholarships, panelists included:
  • Smriti Choudhury, Associate at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo and member of the CREW Boston Educational Foundation Board of Directors;
  • Tricia Pinto, Senior Vice President and Principal with Sanborn, Head & Associates, Inc.
  • Michelle Callahan, Civil Engineering Project Manager at Nitsch Engineering, Inc. and Northeastern Alum;
  • Sarah McGillicuddy, Associate Principal, Director of Business Development at BR+A Consulting Engineering and member of CREW Boston’s Board of Directors;
  • Rebecca Bachand, Owner of RBLA Design.
After giving a brief overview of CREW Boston and each of their backgrounds, the panelists delved into the topic of networking – what is networking, what does it mean to network, why is networking important, how to start networking, when to start networking – and everything in between.  The panelists shared personal success stories as it relates to networking and provided resources and advice to the students that have helped them build their network and create long-lasting relationships.

Thanks to Northeastern for having us, and to Kinga for helping put together the event.  We really enjoyed our time together!
