Climate Resilience: Planning and Building for a Changing Climate
MHP
160 Federal Street, Boston MA
Members Only
“Climate Resilience” can be understood as a methodology and means to adapt to and mitigate the impacts from climate change. Join us on May 17, to explore how climate resilience is being defined and addressed, using an example from a recently completed East Boston housing development, Coppersmith Village.
The speakers will present the Coppersmith Village case study in the context of the emerging understanding of climate threats and local and state strategies and incentives to begin to address them. Policies, tools and techniques to better prepare for the impacts from climate change will be presented. The Speakers will be Isabel Kaubisch (Clarendon Hill Consulting), Maura Camosse Tsongas (Stone Soup Collaborative - formerly Director of Real Estate at NOAH), and Kimberly Vermeer (Urban Habitat Initiatives).
Hosted by the Housing and Community Development Committee and Sustainability Networking Group
