CREW Boston’s annual Women in Government Reception was held on Thursday, May 28 at the Union Club in Boston, bringing together members and women working across the public and government sectors to celebrate leadership, achievement, and progress in public service.
One of CREW Boston’s signature annual events since 1990, the reception highlighted the growing representation of women in public leadership roles across Massachusetts and beyond. It emphasizes the continued impact of women shaping the region’s real estate and infrastructure landscape as well as solving economic and development issues in the Commonwealth.
The evening featured an engaging conversation with guest speaker Luisa Paiewonsky, Executive Director of MassDOT’s Megaprojects Delivery Office. Luisa shared insights from her extensive career in public service and offered a behind-the-scenes look at leading major infrastructure projects, including the Cape Cod Bridges and the Allston Multimodal Transportation Project. Her remarks reflected on her path through state and federal leadership roles, as well as her commitment to advancing complex, large-scale infrastructure delivery.
Following the discussion, attendees connected during a networking reception that brought together women from across the public and private sectors.
CREW Boston extends its sincere thanks to event sponsors Athena Real Estate Development LLC, Ionic Development Company, and MassDevelopment for their support in making this event possible.
