CREW Boston cordially invites members and women working in the government/public sector as we celebrate and honor public sector women in real estate at the annual Women in Government Reception with special guest speaker,
Luisa Paiewonsky, Executive Director of MassDOT’s Megaprojects Delivery Office.
The Women in Government Reception has been one of CREW Boston's premiere annual events since 1990 – and in 2026, Massachusetts is fortunate to have more women in public leadership roles than ever before. Join us to celebrate women’s achievements in the public sector and the historical progress we are making in electing women as local leaders.
This reception will feature an exclusive conversation with
Luisa Paiewonsky, as she shares her story and offers an inside look at how she got to where she is today. Networking time will provide an opportunity for attendees to make connections with women across the public and private sectors.
Luisa Paiewonsky is Executive Director of MassDOT’s Megaprojects Delivery Office, where she leads the development and delivery of the $4.5 billion Cape Cod Bridges and $2 billion Allston Multimodal Transportation Project.
She rejoined MassDOT in December 2024 after 13 years as Director of Infrastructure Systems and Technology at the US DOT’s Volpe Center in Cambridge. In 2022, she served as a Senior Policy Advisor for Project Delivery at the White House. Prior to US DOT she spent 22 years at MassDOT, serving in multiple positions including MassDOT Highway Administrator and Commissioner of the Massachusetts Highway Department, where she oversaw the launch of the Accelerated Bridge Program. She is Past President of WTS-Boston and was inducted into the National Academy of Construction in 2024. She is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and holds a master’s degree in city planning from Boston University.
