On November 3rd, the CREW Boston Community Involvement Committee (CIC) hosted the fourth annual Holiday Shop for a Cause event to benefit the Elizabeth Stone House (ESH), an organization that serves homeless and at-risk families and individuals who have experienced domestic violence, substance abuse, and mental illness. CREW attendees and their guests enjoyed delicious appetizers and drinks while shopping the wares of vendors with a treasure trove of goods for the mind, body and soul, including unique jewelry, handmade knits, delicious jams and savory spreads, hand crafted signs, wine totes and even repurposed metal products! Most importantly, the event raised over $2,000 for ESH, which will be used for ESH’s summer camp program for the children they served. Amanda Roe a member of the Board of Directors for the Elizabeth Stone House spoke on their behalf to offer attendees insightful background on the organization’s mission and the significant impact these funds will have on the children that it serves. The funds raised by the event will send more than ten kids to camp next year! ESH was thrilled by the generosity and continued support of CREW Boston and its members.
A special thank you to the vendors, attendees, and volunteers involved in making this such a successful event! In particular, CREW Boston would like to thank Oxford Properties for donating the Winter Garden located at 222 Berkeley Street along with complimentary parking for the event.
