Join CREW Boston's Housing & Community Development Committee for a lively discussion about the challenges and opportunities of engaging the public when a new development project or local planning initiative is proposed and learn about an innovative approach to orchestrating meaningful public feedback.  
 
Darcy L Jameson, Senior Development Director at Beacon Communities Development, will share her experience with traditional community engagement and present a case study from Amherst, MA of how technology can help engage the community in a way that controls the conversation and reaches the “silent majority” (the people who a don’t attend meetings). Karin Brandt, CEO & Founder coUrbanize, will share how innovative platforms for urban development and community engagement are being used by the public and private sectors in a broad range of communities.
