On Wednesday, October 1
st, CREW Boston’s Design & Development Group hosted members for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Commonwealth Pier revitalization in Boston’s Seaport District. The project is transforming the former Seaport World Trade Center into approximately 825,000 square feet of mixed-use space, featuring office, retail, event, and public amenities, along with significant waterfront improvements and resiliency measures to address future sea level rise.
Attendees had the opportunity to hear directly from the project team about its design vision, construction approach, and innovative engineering and sustainability strategies while exploring the site firsthand.
Special thanks to Ryan Cleverdon of Turner Construction Company and Jim Nadeau of Arup for giving members an inside look at one of Boston’s most exciting redevelopment projects, and to Caroline Murray of Turner Construction Company for organizing this incredible experience.
