On Thursday, October 19, 2023, CREW Boston members were invited for a Members Only Hard Hat tour of WS Development’s newest life science project, 400 Summer Street, located in Boston’s Seaport. The event kicked off with a presentation by WS Development’s project leadership team, including Amy Prange, CREW Boston member and Vice President of Development; Leslie Doyle, CREW Boston member and Vice President of Construction; Jocelyn Goglia, CREW Boston member and Director of Commercial Interiors, and Ali Ribiero, Director of Development, in partnership with Kevin Byrne, Sr. Director, Capital Projects and Engineering of Foundation Medicine, Inc.  Members heard about some of the complex challenges this project presented from air rights permitting and coordination to structural gymnastics.
 
Putting those challenges aside, members learned about how Foundation Medicine, Inc. is transforming cancer care by understanding the genomic mutations that drive cancer, complete with some heartwarming success stories.  They were also treated to a tour of Foundation Medicine’s spectacular fit out inclusive of a walk through their expansive 6^th floor terrace.
 
The Base Building and Tenant Improvement projects expect to obtain combined Certificate of Occupancy in November 2023 with Foundation Medicine, Inc.’s employees fully occupying in January 2024. 

After the tour, all attendees were escorted to the Paseo within WS Development’s first Seaport tower, 111 Harbor Way, to enjoy networking, snacks, and cocktails.
