On February 16th, CREW Boston enjoyed a guided tour of the Bower Apartments located in Fenway. We were escorted by Kelly Saito, Partner at Green Cities; Jennie Kalberer, Senior Director, Design & Brand of Green Cities; and Courtney Carlucci, Senior Community Manager at the Bower Apartments.
The Bower Apartments are an LEED and Fitwel certified luxury community. The apartments are split into two, differently designed buildings, each inspired by biophilic design to bring nature inside with indoor flora, earthy textures, and vibrant colors. Both buildings offer luxury amenities that focus on natural light, movement, and character. The artwork throughout both buildings were commissioned and created by local Boston artists.
There is also a deep focus on sustainability and integrating technology into the community. Bower is one of the first buildings in Boston to feature View Dynamic Glass, or “smart” windows that automatically tint based on outdoor conditions to control glare and heat gain while maintaining views. Residents are able to pre-set the tint of the windows in their apartment to suit their personal preference.
Both buildings are near full occupancy. One of the reasons the Bower Apartments have been so successful is because even though we spend nearly 90% of our time indoors, the details throughout the community help you feel as though you are outdoors. An indoor atrium with tropical landscaping, daylight pouring in through skylights above, and two spacious sky decks with a pool are available to residents in both buildings. Bower truly is a beautiful place to live that takes you from city to sanctuary.
