CREW Boston

CREW Boston has given me the guidance and confidence to become a stronger female leader at Neoscape. - Melissa Noone, Neoscape

Getting direct access to senior leaders in the Chapter as well as connecting with CREW members nationally, has helped my network thrive.

CREW connects you with women you might not otherwise get to meet in your day-to-day work. - Katelyn O'Brien, Proskauer Rose

As a deal lawyer, I typically only get to see a small piece of a transaction.  Through CREW, I have met the architects, construction managers, engineers, bankers, and asset managers who make each project a success.  Gaining an understanding of what they do has made me a better lawyer.

CREW Network is all about providing opportunities.  Whether it be through connections, professional development, or mentorship, CREW provides a pathway for personal success. - Christine Vincenti, Massachusetts Housing Investment Corporation

I always tell people two things about being in CREW:  #1 -It’s something I do for myself.  The biggest benefit I get from CREW is the opportunity to take a step out of my daily routine to learn from and connect with amazing people.  #2 –  To get the most out of your membership you have to participate.  Check the calendar, sign up for events, and if you can, go to a CREW convention. The return on investment is well worth it.

Over the course of the last number of months I have decided to retire from the practice of law. I realized I had accomplished all my career goals for my legal profession and wanted to switch gears and learn something new. Based on my love for the built environment and historical preservation, I trained to be an historical interpreter and have received national certification. I am working with the Newport Preservation Society, the Rhode Island Historical Society, the Cocumscussoc Association and the Center for Reconciliation. Most of this work is on a volunteer basis. I will be interpreting historical sites and working with others on creating style and usage publications for interpreting racial history as well as doing the research to write women back into the telling of our history. My deepest thanks to everyone in the legal and real estate community who helped me walk through this process-- the CREW Boston network is invaluable! I am excited about this next chapter in my life.
