Ten CREW Boston members ventured to the warmer weather of Jacksonville Florida for CREW Network’s Leadership Summit on February 6-7, 2025.  CREW Boston attendees included CREW Boston President Shelly Gouin, CREW Foundation Chair Gayle Bourdeau, CREW Foundation Board Member Dianne Crocker, CREW Boston Executive Director Laura Domenico, CREW Boston Board Members Gretchen McGill, Amy Prange, and Lisa Serafin and CREW Boston Members Robin Adams, Jocelyn Goglia, and Christine Vicenti.  The Boston delegation networked with members from around the globe over in many productive meeting sessions and enjoyed deepening Boston ties over lunch and a beachy dinner.
 
CREW Network’s new President Cindy MacMillan kicked off the official business of the Summit, taking the reins from outgoing President Karen Whitt.  Among the most exciting announcements were the introduction of Boston’s own Gayle Bourdeau as CREW Network Foundation Chair and the news that CREW Boston was one of the first chapters this year to meet the Foundation’s giving Trifecta goal.  Trifecta is achieved when a chapter reaches three milestones: donation by all board members, donation by the Chapter, and donation by 50% of the Chapter members.  This is the first time that CREW Boston has achieved 50% giving by members and we hope to carry that spirit of supporting a growing number of scholarship recipients and industry research into subsequent years.  The Network also welcomed new chapter Ottawa. 
 
Attendees had the opportunity to attend some really great sessions.  Cathy Hayes presented on matching your leadership approach to the specific needs of individuals and tasks.  We also heard CREW Network’s dynamic CFO on how to “Flex Your AI Muscle” and from Emily Reineke on broad strategies for maximizing Board leadership.  Members of the Boston team were also able to share best practices with other chapters during Presidents’, Network Board, Foundation Board, and Delegate breakout sessions as well as make new connections at Dine-Arounds.
