The 2021 Mentor Program had a successful kickoff but this time it was held virtually. This year’s program includes 22 participants from various roles, industries and experiences. Melissa Noone, one of the co-chairs of the Mentor Program, kicked off the event by welcoming the pairs and asking everyone to introduce themselves to the group and why they wanted to apply to the program.
There were some mentors and mentees who participated in recent years so they shared their advice for success. There were also mentors who participated in the past as a mentee, but this time around they wanted to give back as they had such a rewarding experience.
After introductions, the mentors and mentees broke out into pairs to formalize their match and discuss logistics, as well as, what the mentees are looking to accomplish to begin a productive and rewarding mentorship relationship.
