HCDC Tour of Father Bill's & Mainspring
CREW Boston members joined the Housing & Community Development Committee in Brockton last month for a tour of Father Bill’s & Mainspring, Inc. existing shelter facility and a site visit of their new two-phase Broad Street Housing development. Phase 1 is under construction and will be a new Housing Resource Center including shelter beds, a medical clinic, commercial kitchen, and dining space shelter. Phase 2 will consist of 30 units of supportive rental housing and community/resident services. The entire project should be complete and occupied by Summer 2023 – just in time for next year’s HCDC tour!
Father Bill’s & Mainspring’s mission is to help people obtain a home by giving temporary shelter and food, finding safe and affordable housing, and providing permanent housing with supportive services. Father Bill’s & Mainspring helps people who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, to achieve self-sufficiency.
Thank you to April Connelly, COO, Jonathan Lanham, Senior Programs Director, and the entire team at Father Bill’s & MainSpring for the tour!
