On Tuesday, June 27^th, CREW Boston’s Housing and Community Development Committee (HCDC) gathered for their annual project tour, this year at the North Shore Community Development Coalition (CDC).


Located in Salem, the North Shore CDC gave members an inside look at three of their new projects: The Lighthouses, a two-building project with a total of 46 affordable units and community space located across from the new Salem Harbor Walk; El Centro, a mixed-use, NMTC and LIHTC multi-phase project in partnership with North Shore Community Health Center which will include 47 affordable apartments; and the Hawthorne Lofts, a conversion of a school building into 29 affordable apartments with a preference for people in the creative workforce and approximately 7000 sf of community amenities.
