On Wednesday, June 25
th, CREW Boston’s Rising leaders were joined by commercial real estate veteran and industry leader, Barbara Oddo - this year’s recipient of the CREW Boston Leadership Award - for their third annual Conversations & Connections event.
Barbara has over 35 years of proven experience in asset operations. Currently responsible for oversight of Tishman Speyer’s Boston portfolio, Barbara plays an integral part in ensuring the firm’s success for customer satisfaction and retention, as well as promoting strategic growth in the region. Barbara is a long-standing member of CREW Boston, where she has served on numerous committees - including Membership, Golf, Programs and Sponsorship - as well serving on the Boston Chapter board as Chapter President from 2018-2019 and Director of the CREW Network Global board, having just ended her tenure in December 2024.
Held at Tishman Speyer’s ZO Clubhouse and moderated by Ashley Maggiacomo, Interior Designer at SMMA, Barbara’s key insights emerged: the strategic value of setting clear boundaries and the power of direct communication in professional growth. She underscored the importance of gratitude as a core philosophy, viewing all experiences as opportunities for learning. Barbara also celebrated the evolving role of women in the workforce, emphasizing platforms like CREW for connection. Her final, memorable advice was to always "get the coffee" to foster unexpected networking opportunities.
Thank you, Barbara, for joining us for this event and sharing your journey and wisdom with us.
