On Friday, March 22
nd, CREW Boston’s Housing and Community Development Committee hosted a virtual brown bag lunch to learn about some of the new planning, predevelopment, and financing sources for affordable housing from MassHousing, MassDevelopment, and The Life Initiative.
During the presentation, members heard from panelists Kelly Arvidson, Senior Vice President Business Development at MassDevelopment; Claire O’Neill, Senior Vice President Real Estate Planning at MassDevelopment; Mollye Lockwood, Senior Vice President at The Life Initiative; Beverly Estes-Smargiassi, Neighborhood Stabilization Program at MassHousing; Monica Passeno, Municipal Technical Assistance Manager at MassHousing; and Amanda Gregoire, Director of Site Planning at MassDevelopment. They talked about planning grants as well as other grants to close gaps in construction funding.
