Millennium Partners Boston is advancing Boston’s leadership as one of America’s greatest innovation cities with Winthrop Center, a 60-story, 691-foot mixed-use tower with 812,000 sq. ft. of Global Class A office space and 321 next-gen residences available in early 2023. Winthrop Center sets the new global standard by integrating health and wellness, productivity and social engagement, and technology and sustainability into its design. Upon completion, Winthrop Center will be the largest Passive House office building in the world.
Join us for our hybrid luncheon to hear from Kathleen MacNeil, Principal of MP Boston and Halle Thomas, Development Project Manager at MP Boston as they share a deep dive into the project and how they had to pivot due to the impacts of COVID, followed by a fireside chat with CREW Boston President, Kerry Hawkins as she asks the questions that are on all our minds.
Kathy MacNeil is currently a principal at MP Boston, the local office of Millennium Partners Boston, an urban real estate developer.  Kathy’s work primarily as real estate development manager has included several complex urban projects in Boston, including Winthrop Center, projected to be the largest Passive House office building in the world.  It is a 1.8 million square foot mixed used tower now under construction in downtown Boston as well as the recently completed Millennium Tower.
Kathy is a LEED Accredited Professional. She has her Massachusetts Construction Supervisor’s License. She received a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from MIT Center for Real Estate and holds a bachelor’s degree from Wentworth in Architectural Engineering. She serves as on the Advisory Board for Historic Boston, Inc. a local preservation organization, as well as the board of directors for Friends of Post Office Square, and is a Trustee at Wentworth Institute where she is also an adjunct professor.  She received the Boston Society of Architects Award of Excellence in 2016.
Halle Thomas joined Millennium Partners Boston real estate development team in 2012 after serving there as an intern. Thomas is a licensed architect, LEED accredited professional and involved in all aspects of development projects from concept to completion including site selection, design, permitting, financing, construction, leasing and operations. She has been involved in the development of over 2 million square feet of urban, mixed-use projects in downtown Boston, where this firm has been a leader in transforming the city’s central core. Prior to joining MP Boston, Thomas was an Architectural Designer with Davis Square Architects, focusing on affordable housing and tenant fit-out work. She received a Master of Architecture from University of Michigan and Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture from University of Colorado. Thomas is committed to finding innovative solutions to a more sustainable and inclusive Boston.
