CREW Boston

What’s New with the Massachusetts Community Preservation Act?

Burns & Levinson LLP

Members Only

CREW Boston invites members to attend a Public Strategies Committee Breakfast Series event to explore
the Community Preservation Act (CPA).  Many communities, including Boston, have now adopted CPA!

Come hear how CPA funds can be used for housing, open space, and historic preservation needs, by allowing municipalities to set their own priorities.  Our speakers are on the front lines establishing CPA policy and guiding the use of CPA funds in projects.  They are

•        Christine Poff, the recently appointed Director of the Boston Community Preservation Committee
•        Kathleen O’Donnell, a long-time CREW member, who is a real estate attorney and a Steering Committee member of the MA Community Preservation Coalition.

They will discuss Boston’s entry into CPA funding;  the status of the CPA statewide; what Commonwealth matching funds are available for CPA communities; what type of projects are receiving CPA funds; and the benefits and restrictions of using CPA funds in a project.
7:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. Networking
8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Program
