A 43-member strong contingent from CREW Boston headed to Atlanta along with 1,400+ other CRE professionals from around the globe for the 2023 CREW Network Convention September 20-22.

After an energetic drum team hyped up the audience, world champion adventure racer and NYT bestselling author Robyn Benincasa delivered an opening keynote on how we as leaders can inspire and build teams that drive our organization to adapt, overcome, and win as one: “What we are willing to learn can be more valuable than what we already know.”
 
The lunch keynote by Dr. Josh Harris, a leading real estate economist and investment strategist, reassured us that the CRE market was evolving and creating exciting new opportunities for property redevelopment in response to the industry’s changing demand. We also attended informative breakout tracks on a wide range of timely topics, including one by Cambridge’s own Robert James Scott in MIT’s Real Estate Center on where AI/ChatGPT could take commercial real estate.
 
It’s always so emotional to see 30 young female students/leaders of tomorrow receive CREW Network Foundation’s scholarship awards. Congrats to our own Amy Prange who went up on the big stage to receive CREW Network’s Impact Award for Member-to-Member Business from Board member Barbara Oddo and CREW CEO Wendy Mann.
 
Extracurriculars included the 25^th Anniversary Masquerade Ball at the historic Fox Theatre, Atlanta’s most popular public dance hall in the 1940s, and of course our annual chapter dinner at popular Atlanta tapas restaurant, Cooks & Soldiers. Convention closed with an amazing session by Jade Simmons, concert pianist and founder of Operation Restoration, on understanding your purpose: “It’s not the thing you do. It’s the thing that happens in others when you do what you do!”
