CREW Boston is pleased to announce the launch of our inaugural leadership program, tailored for experienced women in Real Estate who want to accelerate their career into leadership. We handpicked an expert firm, Orange Grove Consulting, to design a custom program exclusively for CREW Boston. Our mission with the development of this program is to give women in real estate the tools and confidence to catapult their careers to the senior management level. CREW Boston is pleased to announce the 2017-2018 Board of Directors. All Directors are volunteers and serve a three-year term on a rotating basis. The CREW Boston President-Elect serves as a Delegate to CREW Network for a one-year term. CREW Boston also elects one additional Delegate to CREW Network who serves a two-year term. Elections are held annually.

CREW Boston will be awarding 5 grants of $1,000 each to be applied toward the cost of registration and travel to the 2017 CREW Network Convention & Marketplace, which will take place in Houston, Texas on October 25-27, 2017. NEW THIS YEAR!!! All 5 grants will be awarded to deserving CREW Boston members in good standing whether or not they have attended a Convention in the past. If you are interested in applying for the grant, you must do so by 5 p.m. EST on Friday, August 11th

The Nominating Committee is seeking new members for the 2017 - 2018 CREW Boston Board of Directors and for a Delegate to CREW Network.  Nominations will be presented to our membership for confirmation at the Annual Meeting on June 7, 2017. Again this year, the Board of Directors is accepting nominations from any past Board Member interested in serving as the 2018-2019 President, which will include serving as President-Elect for 2017-2018.

CREW Boston is pleased to announce that the 2017 CREW Boston Achievement Awards will be held at the Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston on the evening of Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.  Each year at this special event, CREW Boston is joined by over 350 people from the Greater Boston real estate community to celebrate the professional achievements and public service contributions of some of CREW Boston’s most accomplished members. 

Hot off the press is CREW Network's latest industry research white paper, Closing the Gap: Addressing Gender Bias and Other Barriers for Women in Commercial Real Estate.  CREW Network’s 10th annual white paper, details both statistical data and personal accounts previously unmeasured and unrecorded in our industry – and largely unaddressed.

CREW Network announced publicly that Wendy Mann, CAE, has been appointed chief executive officer of CREW Network and president of the CREW Network Foundation. Mann, an accomplished executive with nearly 30 years in association management, will assume the role on Feb. 1. CREW Boston member Gayle Bourdeau, vice president and associate senior underwriting counsel with Stewart Title’s Commercial Services center in Boston, has been appointed to CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) Network’s national board of directors for the 2017-2018 term.  With nearly 20 years of title industry experience, Bourdeau underwrites and closes local and national commercial real estate transactions with a strong focus on complex, multi-site, multi-state portfolio transactions. Since joining CREW in 2003, she has chaired several committees of the Boston chapter, served on its board and was chapter president during 2013-2014.
