Lisa shared key points of her career, including graduating into a recession and the path that led to founding Redgate. The discussion spanned topics from knowing when to take risks to the difference between role models, mentors, and sponsors (and why they are all important in different ways). An Afternoon of Service at Carolina Hill Shelter

On August 4, 2017, a group of CREW Boston members traveled to Marshfield for an afternoon of service at the Carolina Hill Shelter, a transitional shelter aimed at breaking the cycle of homelessness for families in need.  The event was planned by the Community Involvement Committee, and project coordinator and CIC member Bonny Doorakian worked with the shelter to obtain painting supplies and perennials for planting, with the help of generous donations from East Boston Savings Bank and Lowe’s.  With these supplies and an afternoon of hard work, volunteers Despina Hixon, Chrissy Vincenti, Pat Cooper, Anne Sodergren, Jessica Park, and Gayle Simmons, along with Bonny, were able to make a big impact at the shelter, sprucing up the grounds with newly-planted flowers and brightening the living room with a new coat of paint.
