CREW Boston kicked-off the 2022 annual Mentor Program by hosting a virtual gathering for this year’s 25 pairs made up of mentors and mentees from various roles, industries, and experiences.
The Rising Leaders hosted their first Conversations & Connections event of the season with Ami Fatula, Chief Financial Officer of Samuels & Associates. During this virtual reception, Ami shared her career path and decade plus experience in the industry with participating members.
Sarah Forde with Federal Realty, Gary Kerr with Greystar Development and Colleen O’Connor with BioMed Realty joined us for a virtual presentation in January as they shared a deep dive into their projects, their plans to activate the Assembly Square streetscape, how Covid has impacted the retails at Assembly Row and their future.
CREW Boston members joined for a virtual roundtable to discuss new ways to work in 2022, including how to streamline things, find efficiencies and resources, and (dare we say) balance.
Current and potential new members who self-identify as a woman of color were invited to attend this virtual meeting to learn more about the opportunities of membership in CREW.
CREW Boston’s Group of Entrepreneurs, Soloprenuers, business leaders, and members with entrepreneurial spirit met for a roundtable discussion at Construction Coordinators in Needham.
Hosted by CREW Boston’s Public Sector Connections Committee, members gathered for a fun virtual night of informal “Hot Topics in Policy and Politics” conversations. The committee discussed the new Mayor oof Boston, Climate Policy Bill, and COVID recovery funds.
Members celebrated the holiday season with a Holiday Lights Netwalk in Downtown Boston. They gathered at the corner of Charles Street and Beacon Street and then toured the light displays in the Common, Downtown Crossing, Public Garden, and Commonwealth Avenue mall. Members enjoyed a night filled with networking, holiday cheer, and (of course) hot chocolate!
During this virtual event, hosted by the Housing and Community Development Committee, Jess Martinez, MasssDevelopment TDI Fellow-Lawrence, and Natalia Urtubey, Director of Small Business for the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development in Boston, participants discussed the challenges and strategies facing small business growth and wealth-building in Boston neighborhoods.
Members joined this virtual conversation with Maureen A McCaffrey, P.E., LEED AP of MIT Investment Management Company, to learn more about upcoming projects and the types of spaces being created to meet the changing and fast pace demands of life science tenants.
