On Tuesday October 24th, 2023, CREW Boston’s Membership Committee hosted a “Taste of CREW and Chocolate,” in Sasaki’s beautiful office space. Attendees were treated to a delicious chocolate tasting by Cocoa Beantown, a local, women-owned, small business, and learned how to identify and appreciate quality, craft chocolate.

On Thursday, October 19, 2023, CREW Boston members were invited for a Members Only Hard Hat tour of WS Development’s newest life science project, 400 Summer Street, located in Boston’s Seaport. On Thursday, October 12th, CREW Boston held a luncheon featuring the 585 Kendall project in Cambridge, with commentary provided by BioMed Realty’s Colleen O’Connor and Salvatore Zinno. The building represents the culmination of years of complex site assemblage, community engagement efforts, permitting and entitlement activities, design and engineering, and leasing outreach, resulting in a unique and sustainable addition to the Kendall Square neighborhood.

On Tuesday, October 3rd, CREW Boston’s Sustainability Group hosted a walking tour of Boston’s Greenway, focusing on pollinators. During the tour, led by Darrah Cole, Senior Horticulturalist for the Greenway, and Daniel Norman, Co-Creator of the Bloom Tracker App, members listened to a brief history of the Greenway, visited the Carolyn Lynch Gardens, and learned more about the impact that Boston’s green park network has had on adjacent communities and real estate.

We couldn’t have asked for better weather for our 27th Annual Charity Golf Tournament to benefit the CREW Boston Educational Foundation. It was a perfect day for CREW Boston members and colleagues to try their luck on the links at Wellesley Country Club. On September 27th, CREW Boston members were treated to a project tour of Boston’s newest hotel – Raffles Hotel in Back Bay. In a presentation by Jordan Warshaw, President of The Noannet Group, we were given a fascinating insight into the incredible journey behind the development of Raffles Hotel in Boston, a towering achievement that now stands at an impressive 394 feet.
