On Wednesday, February 15th, CREW Boston’s Meds and Eds group enjoyed the first industry tour of Beth Israel Lahey Health’s Klarmen Building. The new 385,000 SF inpatient building on Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center’s (BIDMC) West Campus features single-bed patient rooms, a roof garden and helipad, and state-of-the-art surgical spaces.
Members gathered at TA Realty in February for a group viewing of CREW Network’s Webinar with Spencer Levy, a Global Client Strategist and Senior Economic Advisor at CBRE. Levy provided an in-depth look at the key economic issues that are driving the global economy and gave his predictions for the commercial real estate market in the coming months.
Members came together for a night of celebration as we welcomed our newest members and honored members of our Legacy Council.
On January 31, 2023, CREW Boston hosted David Perry and Bevin Littlehale of Hines for a presentation of the history and vision of Hines’ South Station Project. The Project is the realization of the combined vision of the Boston Redevelopment Authority, the MBTA and the Federal Railroad Administration, first articulated in the late-1970’s, to redevelop South Station as a multi-modal transportation center coupled with a mixed-use air-rights development.
CREW Boston’s Housing & Community Development Committee (HCDC) hosted Jan Brogan, local author of “The Combat Zone,” for an in-person conversation on Thursday, January 26th at ICON Architecture.
A contingent of seven CREW Boston members headed west to attend the first ever sold out CREW Network Leadership Summit. More than 400 CREW members from chapters globally descended on quirky Albuquerque January 25-27 for two inspirational, empowering days of sessions on leadership, brand building, and chapter management. The CREW Boston contingent included Barbara Oddo, Gayle Bourdeau, president Tricia Pinto, president-elect Maureen McCaffrey, Laca Wong-Hammond, Jennifer Sutherby, and delegate Dianne Crocker.
CREW Boston and SIOR came together to ring in 2023 on Tuesday, January 24th. Over 75 members from both organizations gathered for a wonderful night of networking. A big thanks to Avison Young for sharing their amazing space with us!
The Entrepreneur Exchange Group met in person in January 2023 for an introspective look back and look ahead. We've set goals together in the past and saying a thing out loud is a great way to set some accountability. A CREW member just might ask you about your progress at a future event!
On January 12th, CREW Boston enjoyed an in-person discussion and workshop with Dr. Camille Preston who has been researching and helping high performing leaders and teams mitigate burnout for nearly 25 years. In this workshop, she explored how to effectively manage and replenish your energetic accounts, reduce burnout, and maximize happiness for yourself and your team members.
Our 2023 Mentor Program Kick-Off Lunch was held on Tuesday, January 10th at TA Realty. We had a great turnout with most of this year’s 50 Mentor Program participants in attendance.
