CREW Boston’s Group of Entrepreneurs, Soloprenuers, business leaders, and members with entrepreneurial spirit met for a roundtable discussion at Construction Coordinators in Needham.
Hosted by CREW Boston’s Public Sector Connections Committee, members gathered for a fun virtual night of informal “Hot Topics in Policy and Politics” conversations. The committee discussed the new Mayor oof Boston, Climate Policy Bill, and COVID recovery funds.
Members celebrated the holiday season with a Holiday Lights Netwalk in Downtown Boston. They gathered at the corner of Charles Street and Beacon Street and then toured the light displays in the Common, Downtown Crossing, Public Garden, and Commonwealth Avenue mall. Members enjoyed a night filled with networking, holiday cheer, and (of course) hot chocolate!
During this virtual event, hosted by the Housing and Community Development Committee, Jess Martinez, MasssDevelopment TDI Fellow-Lawrence, and Natalia Urtubey, Director of Small Business for the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development in Boston, participants discussed the challenges and strategies facing small business growth and wealth-building in Boston neighborhoods.
Members joined this virtual conversation with Maureen A McCaffrey, P.E., LEED AP of MIT Investment Management Company, to learn more about upcoming projects and the types of spaces being created to meet the changing and fast pace demands of life science tenants.
Kathleen MacNeil, Principal of MP Boston and Halle Thomas, Development Project Manager at MP Boston joined us in November as they shared a deep dive into Winthrop Center, a 60-story, 691-foot mixed-use tower with 812,000 sq. ft. of Global Class A office space and 321 next-gen residences available in early 2023, and how they had to pivot due to the impacts of COVID, followed by a fireside chat with CREW Boston President, Kerry Hawkins as she asked the questions that were on all our minds.
During this virtual, interactive seminar, experts Jim Ayraud, CEO and Founder of Next Level, Inc. and Haley Haggerty, VP of Next Level, Inc. helped unpack the two keys to having great business relationships, what makes for a successful two-way conversation, and provided attendees with a few tools to help be more effective in their everyday interactions.
During this 4-day learning exchange in Miami, Florida, participants explored the Resiliency & Affordable Housing in Miami.
Members joined host and fellow member Rebecca Bachand for a Netwalk at the Elm Bank Reservation in Wellesley. Participants enjoyed walking the beautiful DCR trails while networking over the lunch hour!
