    2017 Achievement Awards

    The 19th annual Achievement Awards took place on April 26 at the Fairmont Copley Plaza with 300 guests gathered to honor 18 members for their outstanding and impressive accomplishments in commercial real estate. CREW Boston President, Cara Nelson welcomed everyone and thanked all our sponsors, especially Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky, and Popeo PC and New England Development for being our Corporate Sponsors. Incoming president Lisa Serafin with Redgate thanked the 2016 Leadership Recipient Kristin Blount with Colliers International for sharing this special evening with CREW Boston as the master of ceremonies and invited everyone to moving across the hall to the ballroom for food, drinks and a lot of networking.

    UCREW Panel at Boston University

    In February, CREW Boston members spoke to students at Boston University and shared materials regarding the CREW Boston scholarship program and students were encouraged to apply at the event.  The panelists discussed their education, career development and current positions to a full classroom of students interested in commercial real estate. Areas of interest that were discussed included development with a focus on recent projects in Boston, finance with questions on recent changes in the market, and how a career starting in law can lead to many areas within commercial real estate. Recent projects that the panelists were working on together were also discussed – such as the Bozzuto TOD development at the MBTA North Quincy Station.

    Each year CREW Boston comes together to welcome our new members and to celebrate our legacy members, who include our longest-standing members and our past presidents.  This year, we were honored to have with us many of the founding members of our organization which gave us a chance to honor our beginnings, where we started, how far we have come and what our future looks like.  The over 100 members in attendance had a chance to hear from a couple of them and was inspired by their commitment to the promotion of women in the real estate industry and how it all began.

    CREW Network Leadership Summit, Los Angeles

    CREW Boston's President Elect Lisa Serafin and CREW Delegate Sophie Stein attended the 2017 CREW Network Winter Leadership Summit, which took place in Los Angeles on February 9-10. Over 250 CREW Network members from all over the country gathered to exchange their chapter experiences and participate in leadership training as well as to take advantage of many networking opportunities. Attendees also had an opportunity to meet new CREW Network CEO and CREW Network Foundation President Wendy Mann, who spoke at the Friday’s networking lunch.
